Windows 10 Enterprise license key: the full corporate edition for one PC
Windows 10 Enterprise is the edition Microsoft designed for organizations that manage their PCs centrally and take security seriously. It contains everything in Windows 10 Pro, then adds the controls that IT departments ask for: application whitelisting with AppLocker and Windows Defender Application Control, virtualization-based protection of credentials with Credential Guard, isolated browsing with Application Guard, always-on VPN with DirectAccess, and bandwidth-saving BranchCache for branch offices. Traditionally it was available only through volume agreements or Enterprise E3 subscriptions; this listing lets you buy a single Windows 10 Enterprise license key for one PC as a perpetual, one-time purchase.
The key activates a Windows 10 Enterprise installation from Microsoft's official media, and it also converts an existing Windows 10 Pro installation to Enterprise in place through Change product key, keeping files, applications and settings. The license type for this listing is shown in the Product Overview table below.
Who buys a single Enterprise key
IT administrators who need one more Enterprise activation for a new hire, a lab machine or a replacement PC outside their agreement
Consultants and MSPs building or testing reference images and Group Policy baselines
Security-focused professionals who want AppLocker and Credential Guard on a personal work PC
Small businesses with a handful of PCs that need Enterprise features without a subscription
Owners of hardware that cannot run Windows 11 and who want the most capable Windows 10 edition for it
Software developers testing how their applications behave under Enterprise policies
Windows 10 support status, stated plainly
Microsoft ended support for Windows 10, including Enterprise 22H2, on October 14, 2025. The edition continues to install, activate and run, and this key remains valid indefinitely, but free monthly security updates have stopped. Microsoft offers a paid Extended Security Updates program for organizations that need more time, available in yearly increments for up to three years. If your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements, we recommend Windows 11 Enterprise for connected daily use. If you need Windows 10 with security updates still flowing, the LTSC releases are supported for longer: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 until January 2027 and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 until January 2029.
Key features beyond Windows 10 Pro
AppLocker: allow or deny executables, scripts, installers and packaged apps by publisher, path or hash
Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC): kernel-enforced code integrity policies
Credential Guard: isolates domain credentials in a virtualization-protected container
Microsoft Defender Application Guard: opens untrusted sites and Office files in an isolated Hyper-V container
DirectAccess: always-on, IPsec-based remote access without a user-initiated VPN client
BranchCache: caches content locally for branch offices with slow WAN links
Microsoft User Experience Virtualization (UE-V) for roaming settings
Windows Update for Business with longer deferral windows and Desktop Analytics compatibility
Plus everything in Pro: BitLocker, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop host, domain and Entra ID join, Group Policy, Windows Sandbox
Windows 10 Enterprise vs Pro, Education and Enterprise LTSC
Enterprise sits at the top of the Windows 10 family. The table shows how it compares with the editions people usually weigh against it.

If you do not need AppLocker or Credential Guard, a Windows 10 Pro product key is simpler and covers most small offices. If the PC is a fixed-function device that should never change, choose an LTSC release instead of standard Enterprise.
System requirements
Processor: 1 GHz or faster or a System on a Chip; 64-bit CPU for the 64-bit installer
Memory: 1 GB for 32-bit, 2 GB for 64-bit; 8 GB recommended for business use
Storage: 32 GB or larger
Graphics: DirectX 9 or later with a WDDM 1.0 driver
Display: 800 x 600 or higher
Credential Guard and Application Guard additionally require a 64-bit CPU with virtualization extensions, UEFI and, ideally, a TPM
Internet connection for download, activation and updates
There is no TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot requirement for the operating system itself, which is why Enterprise remains the right edition for capable business PCs from the 2015 to 2018 era that Windows 11 rejects.
Converting Pro to Enterprise without a reinstall
The most common way to use this key is on a PC that already runs Windows 10 Pro. Open Settings, then Update & Security, then Activation, click Change product key, and enter the Enterprise key. Windows verifies the key, switches the edition and asks for a restart. After the reboot, AppLocker, Credential Guard and the other Enterprise features are available in Group Policy and Windows Features. Nothing is removed and no data is touched. The reverse is not true: an Enterprise installation cannot be downgraded to Pro with a key alone, so keep that in mind on shared or leased hardware.
The Enterprise security features in practice
AppLocker is the feature most buyers are after. A typical policy allows anything signed by Microsoft, anything installed under Program Files, and a short list of line-of-business publishers, and blocks everything else, which stops the majority of commodity malware and unapproved downloads without touching the user's daily tools. Credential Guard addresses a different problem: it keeps domain password hashes and Kerberos tickets inside a virtualization-protected container so that tools which dump credentials from memory come back empty. Application Guard opens links from unknown sites in a throwaway Hyper-V container, so a bad click does not reach the real operating system. Windows Defender Application Control goes further than AppLocker by enforcing code integrity in the kernel, and it is the mechanism behind the most restrictive lockdown baselines. None of these exist in Pro, and together they are why security teams specify Enterprise for machines that handle sensitive data.
Choosing installation media
Two routes lead to an activated Enterprise PC. The first starts from the standard Windows 10 media that our download link provides: install Windows 10 Pro or enter the Enterprise key during setup, then confirm the edition in Settings. The second uses a PC that already runs Pro and simply changes the key. Both end in the same place, a Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 installation with the full feature set. Enterprise cannot be reached from Windows 10 Home or from an S mode device by key alone; those need a Pro step first or a clean install.
Managing Enterprise PCs without a server
You do not need Active Directory to benefit from Enterprise. AppLocker rules, WDAC policies, BitLocker settings and update deferrals can all be set through the Local Group Policy Editor on a stand-alone PC. Credential Guard is enabled with a single policy or through Windows Security. When a domain or Intune tenant does exist, the same PC joins it later and inherits the central policy set without any reinstall.
Licensing explained
A Windows 10 Enterprise license key from this page is a perpetual license for one PC. You pay once and there is no subscription, which distinguishes it from Windows Enterprise E3 and E5 plans that must be renewed and revert the PC to Pro when they lapse. Transfer rights depend on the license type stated in the Product Overview table:
Retail keys can move to a new PC after Windows is removed from the old one
OEM keys stay with the first PC they activate
Volume (MAK) keys have a set number of activations and are intended for organizations
Because Enterprise is an organizational edition, it is normal for it to be supplied as a volume key. Ask us before ordering if you need several activations, and we will point you to the right quantity.
Why buy this key from Software in Store
We are an independent US reseller of genuine Microsoft keys, operated by MAKERS UNITY LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming. Your key, official download link and guide arrive by email, usually within minutes of payment, seven days a week, and are stored under My Account. Our 30-day money-back guarantee provides a replacement or a full refund if a key cannot be activated and our team cannot fix it. A person answers support email seven days a week and handles phone activation when Microsoft asks for an Installation ID. We do not invent partner badges or customer counts; we describe the license type and deliver what we describe.
Add the key to your cart and check out with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Within minutes your Windows 10 Enterprise license key, download link and guide are in your inbox. Our how it works page explains delivery and activation, and the FAQs cover transfers, phone activation and refunds.
Download and install
Your email contains the 25-character Windows 10 Enterprise license key, the official Microsoft download link for Windows 10 version 22H2 and a short guide. The key is also saved under My Account.
If the PC already runs Windows 10 Pro, skip to step 5; the key upgrades Pro to Enterprise in place.
For a clean install, download the Windows 10 media from the link in the email and create a bootable USB stick.
Boot from the USB, choose language and keyboard, click Install now, and enter the Enterprise key when asked so setup selects the Enterprise edition.
Choose Custom install, select the drive and complete setup with a local account or domain join.
Open Settings > Update & Security > Activation and click Change product key.
Paste the 25-character key, click Next and let Windows restart if prompted.
Confirm that the status reads Windows is activated, then run Windows Update and configure AppLocker, Credential Guard or BitLocker as needed.
If online activation fails, run slui 4, choose your country and send us the Installation ID shown on screen. Our team returns the Confirmation ID from Microsoft by email, seven days a week, and stays with you until Windows shows activated.
Frequently asked questions
What does Windows 10 Enterprise add over Windows 10 Pro
Enterprise includes everything in Pro and adds AppLocker, Windows Defender Application Control, Credential Guard, Microsoft Defender Application Guard, DirectAccess, BranchCache and User Experience Virtualization, along with longer update deferral options. Pro already covers BitLocker, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop host and domain join. If your priority is application control and credential protection, a Windows 10 Enterprise license key is the right purchase; if you only need the Pro basics, Pro is the simpler and more common choice.
Can I upgrade my Windows 10 Pro PC with this key without reinstalling
Yes. Open Settings, Update and Security, Activation, then Change product key and enter the Windows 10 Enterprise license key. Windows switches from Pro to Enterprise in place, keeps your files, programs and settings, and restarts once. The Enterprise features then appear in Group Policy and Windows Features. The change cannot be reversed with a key alone, so on leased or shared hardware keep that in mind before converting.
Is this the same as a Windows Enterprise E3 subscription
No. E3 and E5 are subscriptions tied to a Microsoft 365 tenant; the PC steps up to Enterprise while the subscription is paid and reverts to Pro when it lapses. This listing is a perpetual license: a one-time purchase that activates Windows 10 Enterprise on one PC and never needs renewing. It does not include the cloud services bundled with E3. The license type, which governs transfer rights, is shown in the Product Overview table.
Is Windows 10 Enterprise still a good idea after October 2025
It depends on the PC. Microsoft ended free security updates for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Enterprise still installs, activates and runs, and the key never expires, so it remains a sound choice for hardware that cannot run Windows 11, for isolated or lab machines, and for organizations enrolled in Microsoft's paid Extended Security Updates program. For a connected everyday PC that meets Windows 11 requirements, we recommend Windows 11 Enterprise instead.
How many PCs does the key cover, and can I move it
One PC, one activation. Whether it can be moved depends on the license type shown in the Product Overview table. Retail keys can be transferred to a new PC after Windows is removed from the old one; OEM keys stay with the original hardware; volume keys have a fixed number of activations meant for an organization. If you need to cover several machines, contact us before ordering and we will confirm the right quantity and listing for your situation.
What if the key does not activate
Reply to your order email and our support team will help, seven days a week. Most problems are solved by confirming the edition matches, checking the internet connection, or completing phone activation: you send us the Installation ID from slui 4 and we return Microsoft's Confirmation ID. If the key still cannot be activated after our team has worked through it with you, we replace it or refund the order in full under our 30-day money-back guarantee.
